DSA2-50, 2-Axis Shim Amplifier

The DSA2-50 Shim Amplifier from Performance Controls, Inc. (PCI) is specially designed to drive magnetic field shim coils in MRI and NMR applications. The DSA2-50 provides high fidelity reproduction of command signals, quick response to load disturbances, excellent thermal stability, high-reliability, and low cost of ownership. The DSA2-50 features digital communication and control via high-speed fiber-optic link. The integrated RF filtering permits direct penetration panel mounting in controlled-environment MR equipment rooms.

High-Speed Fiber Optic Link

Digital fiber-optic communication interface allows easy and robust control and status feedback. Fiber-optic protocol supports up to four DSA2-50 units in a ring topology for independent control of up to eight axes.

Cost- and Space-Saving Solution

Integrated RF filtering allows directly mounting to penetration panels for clear and artifact-free MRI imaging. The need for additional wiring and filtering is eliminated, saving space and cost.

Ease of Use

Digital status provides real-time feedback of faults and warnings. Tuning options include seven factory-set tuning options and one potentiometer-based manual tuning option. Tuning settings can be selected via fiber protocol and can be unique to each axis.
