The DHT56-05 Downhole Motor Drive from Performance Controls, Inc. (PCI) is a fully digital motor controller designed for long life in harsh environments in down-hole applications such as Directional Drilling, Horizontal Drilling, MWD, LWD, and Wireline. The amplifier can control a BLDC servo motor in torque or velocity loop mode and can be digitally configured for a wide range of motors.
The DHT56-05 Downhole Tool Motor Drive can be used in these and other applications:
- Directional and horizontal drilling
- MWD (Measurement While Drilling)
- LWD (Logging While Drilling)

High Temperature Operation
Independently tested to operate at 350 deg F (175 deg C)

Optimizes performance, enables cloning, eliminates pot drift, and can reduce inventory.
Allows adjustments to start-up current limit and ramp rate, and other parameters.
Extensive Fault Protection
Protects the amplifier and the motor, and can be individually programmed by the OEM.
PCI can modify the drive to make it compatible with an OEM’s system.
