DHT24-02 Down-Hole Drive
For Brush, BLDC Motors
24 VDC, 2 A Continuous, 1.1 A Peak
350 deg F (175 deg C) Operation
The DHT24-02 Downhole Motor Drive from Performance Controls, Inc. (PCI) is a fully digital motor controller designed for long life in harsh environments in down-hole applications such as Directional Drilling, Horizontal Drilling, MWD, LWD, and Wireline. The amplifier can control a BLDC servo motor in torque or velocity loop mode and can be digitally configured for a wide range of motors.
The DHT24-02 Downhole Motor Drive can be used in these and other applications:
- Directional and horizontal drilling
- MWD (Measurement While Drilling)
- LWD (Logging While Drilling)
Features and Benefits
High Temperature Operation
Independently tested to operate at 350 deg F (175 deg C).
Enables survival under the shock and vibration conditions associated with down-hole services.
7 x 1.22 x 0.093 inches (178 x 31 x 2.4 mm) for the PCB.
Increases reliability and reduced overall packaging through elimination of failure-prone Hall sensors and bulky cabling.
Power Saver Mode
Extends the life of the battery when activated.
Space Vector Commutation and Flux Vector Current Control improve bus voltage utilization for improved torque/speed curves, improved energy efficiency, and reduced heat dissipation.
Optimizes performance, enables cloning, eliminates pot drift, and can reduce inventory.
Allows adjustments to start-up current limit and ramp rate, and other parameters.
Extensive Fault Protection
Protects the amplifier and the motor, and can be individually programmed by the OEM.
PCI can modify the drive to make it compatible with an OEM’s system.
